We are childminders based in Liphook Hamshire and childmind for Liphook, Haslemere, Rake, Bordon, Milland and any of the surrounding villages.
Our philosophy is that children learn best through play and the best play is child lead, to this end we have built up substantial resources and have a vast range of toys, art equipment, software and books for children of all ages to use. All our resources are kept clean and well maintained and we update them regularly. We have a good sized garden in which the children can play on swings, climbing frame, slide, see-saw etc or even help Mik in the veg patch.
We are often out on trip's, not just the normal toddler groups (though we do those as well), but places like Portsmouth Historic Dockyards, Lord Staunton Country Park, Bird World, Alice Holt forest and many other places. The majority of trips are covered in our normal fees but if we go somewhere like LegoLand or Marwell Zoo and the children are of an age that they need to pay we might ask for a little extra to help cover the cost.
When we are at home the children generally play in the playroom where they choose the toys they want from the play cupboards and take over. If we have a range of age groups and the older children want to play with toys with small pieces, Lego for instance, then the older children can play in the study leaving the playroom safe for the toddlers. We also use the living room for a quiet room or for chilling out in front of the T.V. after a hard day at school, the craft room is either in the kitchen or the outside office depending on how big the project is.
We are well equiped with pushchairs, travel cots, car seats, booster seats, prams etc, the only thing we ask is that you supply baby milk, nappies and baby wipes when needed. We are breast feeding friendly and have a quiet room in which you can give baby a top up before you leave or when you collect.
